You Are Learning to Live in Two Worlds

One of the realities of child loss that few people talk about is this:

You begin living in two worlds at the same time.

There is the world everyone else sees.

Meetings.

Emails.

Appointments.

Groceries.

Laundry.

Conversations.

Daily responsibilities continue.

But there is also another world.

The one where your child is constantly present in your heart.

The one where memories surface unexpectedly.

The one where anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, and ordinary moments carry extraordinary meaning.

These two worlds exist side by side.

Learning to move between them is exhausting.

But over time, it also becomes possible.

Not because your grief disappears.

But because your heart slowly learns how to carry both love and sorrow together.

Be patient with it. With time, learning to hold two worlds becomes easier.
