TRAUMA THERAPY

Trauma impacts everything—how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how safe the world feels. It can live in the body and nervous system long after an event has passed, showing up as anxiety, numbness, overwhelm, disconnection, or a sense of being “stuck.” Many people carry trauma without realizing it, simply knowing that something doesn’t feel right.

Trauma is a natural response to experiences that were too much, too fast, or too overwhelming to process at the time.  Trauma doesn’t always look the way we expect. It may come from a single event or from repeated experiences over time. It can affect sleep, mood, relationships, concentration, self-worth, and the ability to feel fully present. Even when life looks “fine” on the outside, the nervous system may still be living in survival mode.

Healing from trauma is not about re-living the past or forcing change. It’s about creating safety, building trust, and helping your nervous system learn that the present moment is different from what came before.

In our work together, we move at your pace. You remain in control, and the goal is not just symptom relief, but a deeper sense of stability, connection, and wholeness.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a well-researched, trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain and nervous system process experiences that were never fully integrated. Rather than talking about trauma over and over, EMDR supports your system in resolving it more directly—often leading to relief that feels organic and lasting.

I am a certified EMDR provider and will work with you on an approach and pacing that works well for you. Many clients find that EMDR helps reduce emotional intensity, loosen long-held patterns, and create space for new perspectives and possibilities.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy can be a powerful option for individuals whose trauma feels deeply entrenched or who have not found relief through traditional approaches alone. When used intentionally and within a therapeutic container, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy may help soften defenses and allow access to inner experiences that are otherwise difficult to reach, paving a path to healing.

I am a fellow graduate of the one-year psychedelic-assited therapy program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I do not have corporate partners, but instead work with an individual ketamine prescriber who uses a tailored approach when it comes to treatment planning, where your needs are put first.

Trauma may have shaped your past, but it does not have to define your future.  Healing is not about becoming someone else; it’s about coming back to yourself.
